Christy Fanous is vice president, Customer Experience and Performance, at Southern California Edison, one of the nation’s largest electric utilities. Fanous is responsible for customer experience strategy and execution, optimizing performance across Customer Service, and enhancing customer experience across SCE.
In her previous role, Fanous was the managing director of Generation, overseeing a 2,600 MW portfolio of power-generating facilities, including hydroelectric, natural gas-fired and battery energy storage. Fanous managed operations and maintenance of the power generating station, gas and water distribution utilities on Santa Catalina Island, and 20,000 acres of natural resources around Shaver Lake.
Fanous has held a variety of executive positions across SCE, including overseeing the construction and maintenance of transmission and substation facilities, leading vegetation management and pole replacement programs for wildfire mitigation, and managing teams in Operations Support, Information Management and Corporate Affairs. In the early part of her career, before joining SCE, Fanous was a call center analyst at Sparkletts.
Fanous is an advisory board member for the Executive Energy Course at the University of Idaho and serves on the Board of Directors for the Catalina Island Conservancy. She is the co-executive sponsor of the SCE Caregivers Connect Business Resource Group and serves as the Board Chair of Harvest Home, a nonprofit residential program that equips and empowers unhoused pregnant women.
Fanous earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University and a master’s degree from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
