Raj Roy is vice president of Distribution Operations in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) organization at Southern California Edison. He leads all aspects of construction, maintenance and operations of the overhead and underground distribution system at SCE.
Roy was previously the vice president of Transmission, Substations & Operations, responsible for the safe and reliable operation of SCE’s electric system, including substation and transmission construction and maintenance. He also served as director of Wildfire Safety, playing a pivotal role in developing SCE’s Wildfire Mitigation Plan.
In 2003, Roy began his journey with SCE as an intern in T&D and joined the Energy Procurement & Management team full time in 2006. He has held various leadership positions across multiple technical and operational teams including T&D and System Planning & Engineering.
Roy holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Harvey Mudd College and a master’s in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California. He has participated in several high-potential programs including the University of Idaho Executive Program, CERAWeek’s Future Energy Leaders Program and Edison’s Executive Edge, which included completing the Advanced Management Program from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.
