Vibhor “Vik” Trehan is vice president of Transmission, Substations & Operations in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) organization at Southern California Edison. He is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of SCE’s electric system, including grid operations as well as construction and maintenance of substations and transmission.
In 2004, Trehan began his career with SCE as a protection engineer and has since held various leadership positions. Most recently, he served as director of Grid Operations, overseeing outage response, critical system communications, and the performance of 13 switching centers, two control rooms and four distribution centers, while spearheading award-winning grid modernization efforts.
Trehan is a certified Professional Engineer with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Nagpur University and a master’s in electrical engineering from California State University Fullerton. He also attained certification in distributed energy resources from Kaplan University.
